Check out the osteopathic thread about COMP school. It is one of the more interesting/important threads on SDN. The basic crux of the problem is the school is having major issues and the students are raising them on this forum. I haven't read such negative things about any MD/DO school. The school does seem to be in complete disarray. Are schools this bad? I know the school I am going to doesn't seem to have MAJOR problems, although it is a med school. It shouldn't make a difference though! Some students are trying to defend the reputation of the school. Any thoughts???? DR. Foxy they need your advice

Here is a link to that thread: <a href="http://forums.studentdoctor.net/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=5;t=002549;p=1" target="_blank">COMP</a>

Go to page 3 of the thread to read some of what's going on specifically.

and welcome to SDN MDmunda 🙂 I don't have any advice to give just yet...

yipes... what a predicament... =/
i dunno how i would have reacted

Thanx Foxy for the link! 🙂 It is interesting because people never say negative stuff about their own school and in this case we have multiple people. When people say positive things you largely have to take it with a grain of salt but when somebody says something negative. Then it is meaningful because the of affinity for a school. So what are people's impressions? Do schools teach a lot in school or it is largely self-taught? Do other schools seem to have these large issues? 😕 😕

MDmunda,
Are you punjabi or something? Dude your name sounds sooo punjabi.

No, but I'm Indian. Hyderabadi to be precise. 🙂 🙂

You guys crack me up the way you call each other "munda". 😀 😀 I speak urdu, & munda simply means "head" I think.

I have personally never used mundhee, its used by those who speak purely urdu. So its both an Indian/Pakistani thing. (Ive never used the word myself).
