I'm currently applying to med school and had 11 secondaries finished complete in early November. However so far I've only got one interview (from my state school) and havent heard a word from any other schools except for a rejection from Georgetown. I was just wondering if a lot of people get intervies and acceptances after the new year or should I start looking for a new job.

BTW I have a 3.47 gpa (3.45 BCPM) with a 33 MCAT (11,11,11).The low gpa's is whats really scaring me since I havent heard a thing from the schools.

Your stats tell us little about your application and your chances of interviews/acceptances, so it is really difficult to even guess what your future holds. Yes, most schools still interview up until March or April, so you certainly do have a chance to get more interviews, especially since you were complete pretty late (not until November). However, you will also likely be competing for fewer seats, or maybe even just the waitlist if you interview that late. Of course you should have a back-up plan for when things don't work out as you would want them to...everyone should until they have an acceptance.

Don't give up yet - you still have time to get in! However, like the above poster said, you should have a backup plan. Maybe you should start looking for a summer internship. Then, you will have a job this summer and if you don't get in, you can look for a (real) job. If you do get in, then your internship will be over in time for you to start school and you won't have to worry about blowing off employers.
