Do we need to send pictures to AMCAS like we did for TMDSAS? Also, should we send our LOR's to the schools designated right now or do we wait until they request them?

After Submitting....now what???

Pictures are asked for with some secondaries (most of them, actually, but sometime's it's optional).
I sent all of my LORS as soon as I submitted AMCAS--my premed committee took care of it for me. Howver, some schools request that they only be sent with the secondaries. Then again, it may be better to get them there to avoid delays later on..so I say send them all now, but check the websites of each school you're applying to to make sure they won't throw them away. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> I never had any problems sending my LOR's in early. 🙂

As per LOR's... my school had a committee letter that they sent. I just asked them to send them in when the schools asked me for them.
I heard too many stories of people who hadnt heard from a school re their secondary and called back to find out that they were missing a letter of rec that had been sent in ages ago.
I think it is just easier for the schools if everything comes as a packet (that way they are less likely to lose something).
BTW many schools wont tell you if your file is missing something so be sure to check up on it.

I actually sent off my letters of rec 3 weeks after I turned in my primary. I was thinking the Pre-prof office here at UCLA would take three weeks to actually process the letters after I turned in the request then send them off, but it took them 3 days. And not a single school threw away my letters of rec. I did call and check that every school got them, though. Of course, I didn't send the letters to the UC's, Michigan and NYu yet because I knew those schools specifically tell you not to send them in until they ask for them.
What you should be doing right now is filling out secondary questions from last year. I posted somewhere on here (Foxy???) a list of a lot of the questions from last year that you could work on. That way you would have a quick turnaround time with the letters.
