It seems that the average age at my state school, OHSU is very high: 26. Is it possible that they are breaking the rules by discriminating against younger groups? I will be only 21 when I apply. This is still 2-3 yrs younger than the national average. Does that mean I would have to do *many* extra stuff to even look attracted much less accepted? What is the special stuff that med schools look for in older applicants that younger applicants don't have? Is there any way of improving my chances?
