Albany UC pool

Hey does anyone know whats up with Albany's waitlist this year? I was told that the alternate list has been created but due to some computer problems they haven't been able to notify ppl in the UC category whether or not they are on the list. Isn't it kinda late to be starting an Alternate list, its nearly July. Does anyone have any other input?

I called on Monday and the told me pretty much the same thing. Definitely frustrating to only find out about whether or not one even makes the waiting list in late June/early July. Hang in there everyone, there's still hope!

Any update yet? I'm also in UC category. Please post all updates. I'll try calling at the end of the week... when is orientation anyway? when do classes actually start? when i interviewed, a tour guide student mentioned that her classmate received her acceptance 1 week before classes began -- so anything is possible. Let's hope for the best!!! best of luck to all UCs (including me = )

i wrote the admissions office again. again, they said that they tried to get notice out to ppl on the UC list last week, but again with the computer virus they couldn't. they are pushing to get it done this week. I thought that albany usually has alot of waitlist movement. they aren't giving themselves alot of time to pull candidates from the waitlist with it being already july, although their orientation starts later i think, late august i believe.

i got the same email. do you know how large the waitlist is? can't be too good that the class is booked solid at the start of July hmm?

Yes, but starting at the end of August is late compared to some schools so that may work to your advantage.

hm...it seems like AMC doesn't have much of a following here on SDN. thats strange considering even small schools have a moderate amount of posts. I guess that means that 1. they dont interview too many ppl and 2. they aren't widely known. i think ill call tommorow to see what the waitlist movement is like this year, considering they are a month behind last year's schedule.
