I just wanted to know how hard it was to secure a fellowship in Allergy/Immunology. Also how does it pay compared with other IM specialties.

In recent years this fellowship which follows an internal medicine or peds residency has not been difficult to obtain.Many positions are filled by IMGs.The problem has been declining reimbursments by HMOs for allergy shots and related procedures.All the allergists I know however are doing very well and make very hi incomes >200k
