Let me start by saying that I was recently voted as president as the allied health club president. The club consists of mainly those that wish to pursue a career in the health sciences. Too bad the club has sucked for the last couple of years. I want to really make an impression on this club so I was wondering if you guys had any ideas for me. Before, all they would do is go to 2 of the local medical schools (one per semester). It has really made me sick to my stomach how a club could go down the gutter like this. I've already decided to make it a point to go to atleast 4 medical schools (one of them being osteopathic). Also, I want to have a lot of guest speakers come in from both the allopathic and osteopathic fields. I'm also hoping for a nurse, pharmacist, paramedic, and physical therapist come to speak about their individual professions. I also wanted to have a day to talk about MCAT and PCAT preparations (most of the students are pre-med/pre-pharm). Now here's where I was hoping for your help. I really want this club to be the best that it could be. If you all had any ideas on stuff to do/talk about, I'd really appreciate the posts. Thanks a lot fellow pre-meds...I know you wont let me down!
