well the bulk of the posts in pre-allo are about the size of envelopes and speculation about what certain word choice in letters implies about chances of admission. there are also a lot of posts saying something like "only 300 days until we hear from non-rolling schools" or "hey east coaster did you get your letters yet? i'm in the west coast checking my mail". then of course there are high schoolers who want to know everything about medicine. not to mention the posts asking how every med school will contact you, like by phone or whatnot. and we can't forget the posts asking for strangers to compare multiple schools and tell them what's best for him/her. and the humongous threads listing everything from secondaries to interview requests to acceptances to waitlists to rejections to number of schools applies to to the number of withdrawals, etc.
so maybe it's not that medical students have less time to post, although that is probably one of the factors. no, my theory is that medical students have a lot less things to obsess about, and thus have less clutter.
