Please excuse me. I'm a new member, so maybe I don't understand what's going on, but I was surprised to see that "allopathic" was used as a category for a student doctor discussion forum.
I come from a family of scientists and skeptics (people who question extraordinary claims like UFOs and alternative medicine and look for the evidence behind all claims). I was taught about evidence-based medicine, and I grew up belonging to Junior Skeptics groups.
One of the things I learned was that "allopathic" is a term of disapproval created by practitioners of homeopathy to describe mainstream medicine.
Does anyone who wants to study real medicine accept this term?
Sorry, I don't mean to be a troublemaker, but I find this term disturbing.
