Am I able to start on my application now if I will be taking the DAT in May 2015

I decided not to take the DAT this year because I didn't feel ready. I will be taking it in 2015. When is the best time to take it? I was thinking about taking it in May 2015. Also, am I able to start on my application right now if I will be taking the test next year?

You can start asking for LOR's and writing your personal statement now for the next cycle that starts June 2015. But it's a bit late to start the application right now for this cycle.
