So I posted about this previously, but didn't include much info. I'm currently a working Registered Nurse, 23 years old, and just starting the 2 year bachelor program. I'm hoping to squeeze in the pre-reqs in the summertime, and apply to med school after those two years. My cumulative GPA is 3.55 after 118 credits and I'm having issues figuring out what exactly my science GPA is because after thumbing through the forums, I see that my nursing coursework falls under the "science" categories. Scroll to the bottom if you don't need to see a detailed transcript.

As for volunteer work, I have been a little league baseball coach, did 4 months of ecclesiastical volunteerism in a foreign country, as well as in my youth being a student body officer upon other things as well. I understand that my GPA isn't the greatest, but given that I still have another 2-3 years of coursework before applying, does it appear that I am on the right track? Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated. Also, I show no preference to MD or DO.

No, your nursing coursework is NOT science. If it has the prefix "Nursing," it is not science.

yea, triage is right. the nursing is under health science and not BCPM. Look up on the AMCAS site what qualifies for BCPM
