Just received the "alternate list" letter from GWU. What does that mean?
Does anybody know?
Please post if anybody has any idea what "being placed on alternate list" means. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />

George Washington's alternate list is simply another name for their wait list. GW has a rather high turnover rate of accepted candidates who decline it for other schools, and I believe they begin to dip into their alternate list sometime in late spring. If you are keen on attending GW, I strongly suggest that you let them know this, perhaps through a letter of interest/intent.

Just wait for your EVMS acceptance. Then you can tell GW to piss off. That is, if you liked EVMS better than GW. I withdrew from GW a while back, so I never had the opportunity to visit the school.

You'll be fine. Just have to wait it out. You are not screwed at all. I haven't even gotten interviewed. I'm on hold to interview so you at least interviewed. Since they do got a high turnover rate, you gotta good chance of getting in.

My interview went very well. One of my interviewers had to leave 1/2way through the interview, which I thought was odd. It was my best interview to date. I'll post the outcome when it comes. Hopefully we can both celebrate!
