"AMCAS 2006"... means entry or app 2006?

I had the bright idea to go ahead and get my grades entered and transcripts verified, since I'm trying to apply early in the cycle... did I screw up? I discovered that TMDSAS 2006 refers to the class that's ENTERING med school in 2006, not applying 2006... if AMCAS 2006 means the same thing I'm going to have to do all that all over again. Not to mention I'll feel pretty silly. 🙄

Would you believe it doesn't actually specify anywhere on the website? I guess I'm already supposed to know.

Yeah, AMCAS 2006 is the one we're using right now to start in the fall. Yours will be out and ready in May.

Don't worry, when I first saw 2006 I thought the same thing too.

They will make the site available to you in May (I think). So just use the worksheet and get all the necessary transcript forms ready. That way when May comes along you can start entering to your hearts delight. The first day to actually submit is in June (again, I think). This has been such a long year I hardly remember last summer! Good luck.

I don't mean to give you a heart attack or anything, but assuming you sumbitted would that constitute your first application attempt? (i.e. youd be a reapplicant for 2007?)
