Has anyone here looked at the Transcript Request form yet?

I was filling it out, and when I was about to print it out, I saw there is a blank line above "Amount." Does this mean the number of transcripts we want our institution to send? Does AMCAS require 1 or 2 transcripts from each institution?

Also, I am assuming you would have to fill out each school's separate transcript request form also, to provide payment information (i.e. credit card number) and such. Is that right?

    Thanks in advance.

Good question. I have no idea wtf that means, and the Applicant Instructions are no help either.

Yes, that's right, fill out whatever forms your school requires in addition to the AMCAS request form.

i just left the amount line blank??? i'm not sure what it is for, but i think since i only needed 1 transcript sent that leaving it blank will be fine... can anyone confirm this?

I left it blank, I assumed it was in case your school charges a fee to mail transcripts.

I think the TMDSAS blank goes as far to say "Amount enclosed" or something like that.

and yes, you only need 1 transcript.

Hey guys, just glad to see that others are looking at the new app as well. I was starting to feel a little awkard like it may be too early to even be putting any info in. :D

    Thanks for this thread!

Have you figured out how you all are reporting your AP tests. Has anybody actually started filling out the Coursework section?

Is it too early to send in transcripts? Are they going to get kicked back to us if they get there before June 1?? Thanks!

NICE. UCD charges us $6 ($18 for rush) for what my community college can do for $2.

Maybe I should print my own!

UC Berkeley is $8, $37 for rush and then to add insult to injury they charge like $3 extra to add the frickin' AAMC transcript request form to it.

No. Now that AMCAS is open, you can send transcripts to them. No worries.

I just spent a total of $48 for all my transcripts (ya i have 5!). and "amount" refers to number of transcripts, just put "1". If anyone has any other AMCAS questions let me know, I am a 2nd rounder.

I was wondering the same thing. I just put down the amount it cost me to get the transcript. 3 whole frikkin dollars! I could have gotten a meal with that at McDonald's!

Sweet I am sending in my transcripts right now too, because your app isn't verified till after you submit it so no harm done in sending it now right?

If you want your spring grades to show up make sure they're already there. Somtimes it takes schools a while to get them on the official transcripts.

I figured a nice letter later on showing my interests (an update letter) would include my spring and summer grades. So I decided to forget about them as of now.

Hey ecking, did you send in your JC transcript already? Are you going to send in your UCD transcript later? I'm planning on dong all this stuff on May 18, like send out my JC transcript. But I am going to wait probably another 2 weeks before I send out my UCB transcript so I can have this semesters grades on it.

UGA charges $2, and that's only if the transcript's going off-campus.

I'll have to wait for the grades, too. If I can see them immediately from my online account, they should show up on my transcript, too! But alas, this is not the case.
