So how exactly does the AMCAS system work?

I am under the impression that I fill out an application on AMCAS< and I pick the schools I want it to be sent to and they send it to the school, and that is my "application" to the school?

i guess you can think of amcas as a central database......they get your list of schools and send out info to the schools you are applying to.

then each of the schools get your info and decide whether or not to give you their secondary application.

so yeah.

So I never contact the schools directly? Only via AMCAS?

uhh......contact them in what aspect?

like after you get secondaries?

or what? cause once you have a specific question about a school. you call that school directly.

if it has anything to do with your primary app then you contact amcas.

So,, do people commonly have their info sent out to just a ****load of schools?

It doesn't work. I broke the system, but yet still work for them.

I would sincerely like to thank y'all for buying my new H2, BMW Z3, and my Jeep Wrangler.
