Amcas

I think they start accepting transcripts around mid-May, and applications early in June. You need to check the website to figure out exactly, but it's usually June 1. The apps are online now, so you can finish it whenever you want to (and save it online) and then you click submit as soon as AMCAS gives the OK.
Does anyone else know for sure?

i dont know the details but totally find out and apply early!!!! it really does make a HUGE difference

Last year, the app became available/"live" on line May 1st. Applications could not be submitted, however, until 12:00 a.m. on June 1st.

well, the AMCAS 2002 and 2003 entering years are online but the one you want AMCAS 2004 entering class is not online yet so don't go trying to fill it out!

The submission this last year was something like June 14th although transcript could be sent in from the 1st of June and the app was available early May.

I had this very same question when I applied this cycle. Finding out, though, was very difficult.

I didn't find the date (for when AMCAS started accepting the application) on their website. I tried calling and emailing them and got nothing.

They finally posted it on their website in mid-May I believe. It was originally set for June 1st, but there always seem to be delays and, of course, the date got pushed back. I think the acutal date this year was June 10th or something like that.

Basically, as long as you submit it in June, you're ahead of the game and in good shape. They always shoot for June 1st, but they're never actually ready to accept them by then, so usually it ends up being some time in early to mid June.
