I am a Canadian applicant and was wondering if anyone were able to recommend a (few) good websites outlining the basics of the American healthcare system (I realize that is an oxymoron--basic and American healthcare system...damn its complex!)...but any advice would be greatly appreciated...

The US and Canada jointly released a survey of citizens a while back. A summary is posted on the embassy of the United States Japan.
