Are there any American citizens attending a U.S. med school who have successfully arranged an elective in England, either in the summers or as a 3rd or 4th year elective? I'm really interested in doing this, and would like to pursue my interest in sports medicine in my study abroad.

hiya! havent heard too much about it (doesn't seem like lots of med students/doctors go abroad to the UK...ugh!). Have been trying to find more info/people who have. I know it is done but not prevalent. I know many schools have international rotations for 4th years (GW, Georgetown, and WashU). Maybe your uni has something sorted?

Anyone know anything about US trained MD doing intern year/residency in the UK (and maybe staying on to work)?

There are more grads than residency positions in the UK, making it quite difficult for foreígn grads.
