I believe it was 10000 this year... its hard to define probably of acceptance, it depends on your scores. There are 4500 spots approximately, and with 10000 people applying. BUt then every school has its own probablity because of quotas and such. Depends on you gpa/dat score, most schools post their avg gpa/dat, you should compare yours to pick the schools you want to apply to.

i think nationalwise it is 1:3 student that are going to some kind of D-school, but the odds for any Pre-D student is only 1:10(or even lower) because nobody is eligible to get in to all the schools in the nation. Each school probably starts with only like 5-10% of the students that applied.
