Are there osteopathic training programs in Australia? And if not, are there training programs internationally that will train MD's from other countries in the manipulation treatment aliked to DO's?

    Thank you

There are but in Oz, the training is more akin to chiropractic. This may have changed but the last I knew, training in a DO program in Australia does NOT make one eligible to embark on residency training in Australia or the US and does not allow one to practice medicine as we commonly think of it.

There is a thread in the General International Forum regarding the lack of equivalency of the DO in various countries; you might find it interesting.

The London College of Osteopathic Medicine trains physicians in osteopathic manual medicine. The AAO, Michigan State University and UNECOM have CMEs that are open to MDs and DOs.

Kirksville has accepted MDs into their NMM/OMM fellowships.
