Lymph from the abdomen eventually collects in the thoracic duct and is deposited into the left brachiocephalic vein, at the junction of the left subclavian v. and the left internal jugular v.

Vagus = parasymp which slows the heart beat.
Thoracic = symp which speeds it up.

High BP means the body wants to slow the HR = parasymp.
