d00d,

go to the nrmp website and look around; or follow the link below.
there're also some stats, which are pretty good(however only for anesthesiology) on http://www.grogono.com/nrmp/index.html
and anesthesia had a match rate of aprox 95% last year, which seemingly is a record for the anesthesia match, however it is still even if only few points- below ER, Radiology Rad-Onc, Nucl med, ENT, palstics, derm. And aporx 75-80% of positions were filled by US seniors. So there is still a 20-25% margin where more competitive candiadates will find their way into the specialty as opposed to less competitive one. Also, anesthesiology PD's have had a pretty good experience with IMG's in the past decade, and are willing(some) to still offer substantial numer of spots to exceptional IMG candiadates versus mediocre US grads. So we must keep our scores and CV outstanding. Also as i metioned, teh quality rather than quantity of candidates in the next few years is what will determine the competiveness of Anesthesia match.
