Anesthesiology Online for CME

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Never used it but it is has a pretty low $/credit but I can't speak to the quality. The ACE and SEE programs from the ASA are what most people I know use. I listen to Audio Digest in the car and do the exams at the end of the year. Its online now too so that might be another quick option. More options here.

Dannemiller is pretty reputable. I think ACE and Audiodigest are better, but are more expensive. Dannemiller will frequently have some free stuff in the pain categories that will get you several hours. Cleveland Clinic will sometimes throw out some free CME as well, but once you are on their email list, they barrage you with stuff every day.

so i thought my fellowship would count for 40 hours, because thats what i was told, but to maintain credentialing i need to have those house count my march, otherwise i will lose my privileges and have to get re-credentialed. I need 14-15 credits. Where is the easiest way for me to get those credits by the end of january.

Both ACE and Dannemiller can be done pretty quick.

You can search the internet for some free stuff and mix and match. Some may not be anesth specific using that route, but there is some free stuff to be found in small chunks if you look around. Usually, you get what you pay for. It is not very useful, but it is a means to an end until you decide what CME route you want to go with for long term.

You could bang out the MOCA-required "patient safety" credits if you haven't already. ASA has one online module for 10, and there's another one via Healthstream for 10.

Anyone have any experience with this site? Its a Dannemiller product...I find myself needing some CME hours to maintain credentialing and thought this would be a relatively painless way to go about it.

Never tried it with Anesthesiology, but I did the exact same thing with NEJM for $129. I printed CME articles, read them (at work, during lunch, while in OR, etc), took the simple 3-question quizzes and got 20 hours. It's low hanging fruit but I found what I learned to be just as valuable as any lecture or course. (NEJM worked well for me because I do CCM and the relevant topics are endless.) I'm guessing it would be similar with Anesthesiology.
