Anesthesiology vs. Pain Mgmt

Why is it that some Anesthesiologists avoid pain mgmt work? It seems to me that these sort of go hand in hand...I am obviously missing something here. Can anybody give me a short version as to why?

Short version - pain pts are very difficult to deal with. Reimbursement dwindling.
