For the purpose of the CK exam, when do you do a coronary angiography in a pt with stable angina? I guess, dude walks into your office, tells history consistent with AP, you do stress exercise, what next? start drugs (nitro, BB, aspirin), send home, re-evaluate later, or go directly to ANGIO from stress exercise (if pos). In the real life, last scenarion is usually done:idea:

Caths on CK are usually reserved for the guy with STEMI and NSTEMI. Cath is the last thing you do in the outpatient setting; you will have already started him on a host of medications even BEFORE the stress test. If it comes back positive (but he is still Stable Angina), you do a stable, outpatient, "elective" cath.
