i submitted on 7/24 and was processed 10/23 (13 weeks total).

about a week ago i sent a email saying that i was going to pursue legal action, i based it off the email that somebody posted on this site a few weeks ago (not processed and seeking legal action, or something like that).

amcas never replied to it, maybe because they knew that i really couldn't afford a lawyer, but i got the red X's and then i got processed in about 5 days.

so, perhaps others can use a hollow threat to get them where they want to be. my buddy was telling me that the threat of litigation is often enough to make people take notice.

now if only tulane would only get back to me after my interview . . .

Welcome to the club!! I submitted 7/21 and was verified 10/22 after calling and asking to be placed on the priority list. It appears that they are starting to verify applications that were submitted around that time frame (after receiving an e-mail or phone call that is). Good luck.

I submitted on 10/7 and the red X's appearred within a week. They are only on the school's attended and coursework. Does that mean i have been completely verified? I am confused, could anyone clear it up for me?

You'll know they're finished processing your app when a date appears after Date Processed on the upper right corner of the first page of the app on the "print application" screen.
You will also have blue slashes and X's after your coursework, which they enter as they're verifying your app -- scroll to the end of the app for what these mean. I rather doubt they'll finish your app real soon, as I think they're making some attempt to go in order now, and a 10/7 submission date is rather late to be being processed right now.

I think I will never be processed.
I submitted my app on 7/30, which isn't too early, but is early enough that it should have been verified by a month ago or so.
I called and was put on the priority list on 10/10. The "specialist" said I would be verified by the 19th at the latest. I called yesterday (10/23) after noting that still, nothing had been done to my application. I was then told that since I was on the priority list, my app would be verified sometime in November. No, not by November 1st, or early in November...just sometime by the end of November. Some priority list...what a bunch of schlack.
I guess I wouldn't expect anything better.

Szkwicz, you won't get anywhere calling and talking to whatever "specialist" happens to answer the phone. You, or a lawyer on your behalf, have to contact Nancy Tillinghast. Fax or e-mail her something along the lines of what jdub did, and you'll be verified within a few days. Absolutely guaranteed. I can't understand why more people aren't doing this.

Does anybody know how long it takes processed apps to get out to the schools? My app was processed last week, but Stanford still doesn't have it. How long should I expect to wait for this step of the nightmare?

Btw, for the people who still haven't been processed from July...definitely write Nancy Tillinghas ([email protected]) and get on her case. She got my app processed in 48 hours.

Good luck,

Adam

I am writing her...we'll see if it works.
Here's hoping!

I just did the same. Legal intrigue, here we come!!!!

Depends on the school and whether they're set up to receive electronic transmissions of complete apps from AMCAS. If they are, it's supposed to be immediate. If not, "summary" apps go out in batches on an AMCAS "masterfile" every Monday, and then later (how much later is not clear) complete hard copies of apps are FedEx'd to the schools.
Of course it then depends on how far behind the individual school is behind in processing things as to when it will show up in their database that your verified app is there. Pittsburgh and UVa notified me they'd received it almost immediately, Wash U put it on their status page within a week or so -- and from the rest of my other schools (18 of 'em) a resounding silence. I had thought that Stanford was one of the few schools with trouble-free electronic transmission. I'm not applying there, but have heard that they're pretty slow about everything but rejections.
