Guys,

I just needed to share my joy and let you guys know that I just got my second interview!! It's at PCOM and thats my # 1 school I am psyched. The scary thing though is that it will also be my first interview. I just hope I wont be a nervous wreck. Anyone have nay insight about how the interviews are normally conducted at PCOM??

when where what how when why?

well, when at least?

its on the twelvth of nov!! I got the invite on the 25th of oct!!

PCOM's interview was very relaxed... i was so nervous because it is my top choice and it was also my first interview. but i covered up my nervousness by showing them how excited i was to be there and how much i liked the school. the interview was very laid-back and conversational and there weren't any tough questions.... relax - you'll do great 🙂

So HomerSimpson, I am confused. Your interview is on the Nov 12th?? and you got the invite on oct 25th? or ur interview was on the 25th? If its on the 12th, Hey Ill see you there!! Cant wait!!

sorry for being so confusing. I haven't heard from PCOM yet, I've been waiting for what seems like FOREVER...

just trying to get an idea of when you sent in your sec vs when you heard about interview from them...

I'M DYING, WHERE ARE YOU PCOM!

Oh Ok. Well my app was in about two weeks b4 the invite came!! Good luck to you, Im sure youll from them sometime soon. When you say forever, how long does that really mean? Cuz you know how us pre-meds can exaggerate time during this process.

according to my excel-sheet-o-medical school known as my "score card"

I mailed my secondary back 8/24/02. I've called them twice, but only started keeping track of that the second time which was 10/04/02. Both times the secretary said my app was being reviewed. Been more than two weeks, probably a bad sign haw?

crap, it was one of my top choices...

guess I should still keep the faith however bleak...

Homer:

I would really really try to be PATIENT!!! To tell you the truth, I was absolutely shocked to hear from PCOM so soon. My stats are ok, but they are not the best out there (25P, 3.08 science, overall 3.41). I expected to hear sooner from schools like UNECOM, NYCOM, UMDNJ. I think the fact that I have an MPH in progress may have been what helped me. This whole interview process is unpredictable and full of surprises. Imagine, CCOM rejected me without waiting for my August 2002 scores, yet PCOM is interviewing me (and it is one of THE best out there). So as I tell everyone, KEEP THE FAITH

thanks for the kind words. I'm actually looking very forward to my UNECOM interview in two weeks. Keeps me going...

patience, ahhh patience how much I wish I had thee

Homer,

njdesi is right. I myself was very surprised to hear from PCOM. THis is just a waiting game that we gotta play. But I was thinking, do you have a letter from a DO? Cuz if not, if you could get one, that might help. Even though it's not required, it looks good. So maybe you can work on that. Lemme know how it goes!

anmol,

Anmol:
