(another) question about the diversity essay

Is talking about food in the diversity prompt ok? I'm really into cooking and baking, as well as learning about food policy, nutrition, etc. and have been trying to start a vegetable garden. Too boring?

Sounds good to me. Have you done cooking/baking in a competitive fashion? How about sold your cooking/baking? Maybe used it in a bake sale/ charity fundraiser? Taught people about nutrition?

Just trying to find ways you can legitimize beyond just "I cook and bake".
