Any advanced standing students doing the residency programs ?

Hi,

I just wanted to know if there are any advanced standing program students doing the residency programs. I wanted to know how you guys went about the admission process, how easy or difficult it was to get in, which specialty have you taken etc.. Also do you have to be a permament resident to get into the specialty program ?
Any insight would be appreciated.
