I think it's more than just what Asian parents say. How many "successful" Asians have you seen
who are not doctor, lawyer, or investment banker? It is just the way the U.S. society is structured.

Actually, SOuth Asians don't resemble "asians;" maybe, some from Nepal. One guy here says Indians are cauasians? I doubt it. Indians look more like chicanos, except Indians are usually darker. As a Korean, I am not that fond of girls from China, Japan, etc. Korean girls are definitely the best!

hrm yes, and dragon wars was definitely awesome movie, every korean girl is a 'princess', asia originated from korea (or as some of my korean friends have told me), and ya'll have a self-sustainable economy. I'm a Korean-American immigrant (moved when I was 16). I don't like to be called FOB, (it is demeaning) but I guess I am.

It's hard to be an immigrant and a successful pre-med. PM me if you are in a similar situation and need an advice. I survived through the app process, and got in.
