So the AOBIM has been offering Early Entry Certification Pathway for residents that have taken the AOBIM inservice exam each year of residency. It's a way to get board certified, albeit through AOA, as early as april/may and before you graduate from residency. I can see it as a benefit if you are going onto fellowship, but is there any other benefit to getting it done early other than just getting it done early? For me, I'd rather take longer and feel better prepared than try to rush taking it early.
