sub 3.0 gpa (sth like 2.96)
dat 22/23/28 (AA/TS/PAT)
application date July 30th, 4th LOE from a dentist was sent 2 weeks ago.
applied to Columbia, Buffalo, BU, USC, UoP, NYU, Temple, Tufts and got rejected from temple.
Prolly gonna retake DAT and get 27~30 in all parts or go for the masters/postbac if i dont get enuf luck this year=)

This are just my suggestions
I think it will be better if you do a master program (look into Barry); you need to pull your GPA
Your DAT is good; however, if you really feel that you can get 27, by all means, do it
You didn't apply early this cycle, and that could have affected your chances
I do not think you will get any pre-dec interviews, because most of the schools you applied have finished giving out pre-dec interviews (maybe except NYU)
However, you could still get post-dec interviews

Any research? volunteer experiences??
Basically do whatever you can do make you stand out

I have around 3.3 GPA, 22 DAT and got 3 interviews
It seems regardless what nationality you are
3.3GPA / 22 DAT would get you 3-4 interviews this year (i checked predents)

All I can say is good luck, I really wish you the best
Don't ever give up, just keep pushing it, you will get in :)

I am Canadian and got in last year with a 3.4 gpa, and only a 18 dat, so I don't think that American private schools are biased. They just want to fill there class with who they deem to be the best applicants. So don't give up I didn't and it worked out for me.

Where did you apply to? (you can pm me if you don't want to reveal it on the thread)

I'm canadian and I'm interested in dentistry in the states.

Thanks

I'm canadian as well and I'm being really worried..
I have 23AA 19PAT 3.9GPA
received 3 interview offers so far and 2 rejections..(from UPENN, UCSF)
do i still have some chance of getting more interview at this time?

hey don't stress so much
your stat is really good
Just don't screw up interview; you will get in for sure
I know your first choice is BU
However, BU really doesn't like high stat ppl
I have heard many stories about how they wouldn't even interview ppl with high GPA or DAT

Don't worry about UCSF- they don't have many spots for international, in fact, i am not sure if they even have any spots for international

Which schools have offered you interviews??
