Any chance to extend USMLE step 1 eligibility period after 1st extension?
Due to family circumstances can't really study as I should and I would like to extend one more time. Thanks!

Just had a conversation with someone at NBME recently and as far as they're concerned they will offer exemptions only if it were medical or school related. It also would need to be supported with some sort of documentation (whatever that means). Don't think "having enough time to study" cuts it, I'd leave that out if you were trying to request an exemption. Hope this helps.

we just had the board talk by our dean of students and he insisted that if we were having trouble we talk to him and he would help us take care of it. he also said he knew who knew people and would be able deal with stuff like extensions better than we would. Talk to your faculty. They will be able to help. Once you get into med school, they do everything they can to get you to pass!
