Seeing as there are no DO schools in the Northwest US (WA, ID, OR, etc)

Does anyone know if any of the current schools have rotations in the NW, particularly Washington? I know KCOM seems to have them all over, or perhaps one of the others?

Where in Oregon? i.e., which hospitals/schools? Preceptor- or hospital based, or both? What clinical areas? I'm interested in West Coast residencies, so I'd like to hear more about possible elective rotations opening up in Oregon or Washington in 2001-2, and would greatly appreciate concrete info.

It's a hospital in Portland as far as I know. I don't know the name, as it was just recently announced and I wasn't planning on going there anyway. ER, FM, Psych and IM are offered.

I just heard today that UHS is working on setting up some sites in Washington, but nothing is final yet.

The Portland area hospital (Osteopathic Hospital) is called Eastmoreland. I am from Portland and have done some work at this hospital so I might be of some help. I know for sure that Oklahoma's COM has rotations there since I met a young doc doing her OMM rotations there. It's a small but friendly hospital.
Also you can do rotations anywhere if you set it up and get it approved. Medford OR has Osteo hospital that was taken over by Providence and that is a potential site as well.
    Check for additional sources!
Email if I can be of any further use.
