i am really thinking about going there for MMEP. how did you guys like it? did you feel it helped you get to med school or strengthen your application? please tell all the info.

You betcha', I will be at the Yale sight. I am kinda worried I wont get that much out of it seems I'll have taken the MCAT and sent off my app to SCAMCAS. The web site has me sold on the idea that its gonna be a blast so lets hope for the best. Hope to me some of you there.

I was there the summer of 2001. IT was the BEST programe ever - I really loved it and got attached to Yale! Too bad they never offered me an interview <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />

WHile we were there, the staff (academic and administrative) encouraged us continually to reach high and to apply to Yale if we wanted to. There were a lot of us applying to Yale last year - perhaps 8. I only know two people who received interviews there - there could be more obviously. I am pretty surprised about not receiving one since I thought that my stats were comparable, but Yale can't interview every interested person obviously. I think though, that only one person who has done Yale MMEP has actually gotten into the school so it's certainly not a given route to get into the med school.

I did Yale MMEP summer 2001 and met some of the most incredible, intelligent, and supportive people you could imagine (Hi E'01). I would highly recommend this program. It certainly helped me in my application process.
