I'm currently working on an MPH and I am also applying to dental schools. Does anyone have experience applying to dental schools with an MPH?

right here!

I got my BA in '99, got my MPH in '02, and got accepted for '03 class. I remember a similar thread about this tpoic somewhere....could've been another website, but if you basically want to know if getting an MPH will help your chances in getting to dental school, I would say yes....then again, I beleive that any type of advanced degree could "possibly" increase your chances of gettinginto dental school.

HOWEVER.....I would never tell anyone to go get an MPH JUST to increase your chances to go to dental school.

Lemme know what kinda q's you have. 🙂

There was a similar thread to this several months ago. I'll see if I can locate it and link it.

I think RSXer is correct when he says that any type of advanced degree will help your chances. I believe that such a degree shows your commitment to education as well as dedication and perserverance.

In case anybody is interested, the MPH is built into the curriculum at Arizona, and students will earn a DDS/MPH if they choose.

just curious, Gavin. I think I saw you post that you were going to be in the joint MPH program. That's cool! Have you decided on what track you're thinking about going into? My concentration was epidemiology and biostat.
