Any non-permanent residents out there? How are you paying for med school?

For all those non-permanent residents out there, how are you paying for med school? FAFSA requires that we be permanent residents in order to go get financial aid.

Could you elaborate?
I'm considering applying for med school, but my immigration status won't allow me to receive federal loans, so how do you do it?
private loans then

You need an American or a green card holder cosigner to get loans. If there is a chance you will get a green card in a year or two, I would wait.

Most schools will ask you to show the money before you attend :/
