Any nontrads struggling with the MCAT like myself? I really want to get into Loma Linda, anyone hear anything about how low of an mcat they'd take?

I got straight A's in the pre med, only a B in general chem
BSN degree, tons of hours and clinical experience, I did dozens of mission trips, and community service, church volunteering, and hundreds of hours of everything you can think of with service. I really want to go to Loma Linda but my MCAT score is just not having it. I cant even reach a 500 :/
I know it's huge content gap, but I really think it's gonna take SO long to study this, when I see people saying "6 weeks of studying got a 512" im like huh???? I have been studying for MONTHS and I am literally getting in the 479-488 in that range. I need advice :/

Hey, I'm also nontrad, I took the MCAT twice and did not get my goal score either time. Unlike you, I struggled in a lot of the premed courses with multiple C's so you definitely have the potential to score well! Idk if you have MSAR but I just looked up Loma Linda and it says their 10th percentile MCAT is 502 so if you can get somewhere around there you'll have at least a chance. You sound like you have really good EC's and from what I have heard about Loma Linda you seem aligned with the school so I think you would have a shot even with a lower MCAT. Take it with a grain of salt but my advice would be to try to understand the material. I think you can get by just memorizing in a lot of premed classes and while this also works for the MCAT you'd have to memorize a lot more to make an impact. Wishing you the best 🙂
