Just wondering how it will be like to apply to a brand new school
I'm "applying"... which means we all have to wait till September when they get accredited.
Does anyone have info on this school?
I'd love to know when (IF!) they're really planning/currently building it....,
a curious in-stater...
very key note on the underserved areas being reserved FIFTY PERCENT of the class!!! I wonder which areas of Va you need to live in order to qualify?
Any news on their bid for accredidation?
or feelings on how this school's dedication to rural and underserved commun. might affect rotation/residency opportunities?
...seems like a nice school, but some interesting policies and interests...
I think they want to do what EVMS does in the Hampton Roads area and just pump Dr's out of the school to serve the Southwest VA area.
...and I hope Roanoke is considered in that 50%
I am from GA and I hope that I will be considered.
One thing to know for sure is the cut-off GPA amd MCAT for the favored states.
I doubt what will happen if most of the favored applicants have average MCATs and GPAs whereas the others have stellar results.
I bet this will happen.
Luck should be the key word!!!!!
