Hey everyone,

I wanted to know if any Pharm D students are applying to medical school or are already in medical school. I would like to hear your experiences. As well I would appreciate if anyone knows if some pharmacy courses would count as sciences. Thanks.

hey there, one of my best friends actually is a third year med student in ohio university, its an osteo school. He finished his pharm D in OSU, and tried applying there again for medicine, but got rejected, because they said he had a low MCAT (28). He got several acceptences though. Oh, and no, they didn't give him any credit for any courses. I was talking to him about the exact same thing yesterday and he said he's glad they didn't give him any credit for anything, because the medical curriculum is just slightly a little different then the pharmacy one. But the good thing though is that he doesn't have to study. He can just go to lectures and read the material over again once or twice and he's set, since he has taken the majority of it before, but like I said, there are a couple of thigs in every section he hasn't had exposure to before, so thats why they most likely won't give you credit for any of the sciences. I'm not sure really, I'm just repeating my conversation with him yesterday....lol...best of luck...
