Can anyone provide updated info?
What Australian universities offer them, and how hard are they to obtain?

I'm an American studying in Aus as well. I received an RCPA scholarship my third year. Check the RCPA website or Google "RCPA medical student scholarship". Of course do this if you're interested in pathology.

More recently there is the:
Australian and New Zealand Society of Occupational Medicine Prize
Pfizer Australia Prize

Both for medical students, check with your school regarding details and eligibility.
