Hi, i just joined the SDN club. I have some questions about getting into pharmacy school. Currently, i am a 3rd year UC Davis student in California. My major is Economics, and now almost done with Economics, only 3 classes to go. However, i started taking Bio and Chemistry classes since i decided to become a pharmacist.

But, the problem is that it's really hard to get good grades since i have no background of science classes. Plus, economics is still time consuming and with science classes, it's even worse. So far my grades for pre-pharm is:

We have a quarter system:
Biology B, C
Calculus B, B-
Stats B+
Chemistry B-

I know these are not good enough to get into pharmacy, and i have some questions regarding the GPA, my cumulative GPA is 2.56 now.

1. Is it okay if i take all the pre-pharm classes in CC after graduation?
2. How do pharmacy school look at this after getting a degree and going to CC to raise GPA.
3. How do they calculate the GPA? (with combined from UC and CC?)

I thank you for taking time to read my thread. Have a nice day~

Well CC and a university I think they're pretty much calculated the same way. If you retake the classes again at a CC and take some time off you know working and getting experience, they may see that you are committed and see a grade trend.

If they ask you why you took classes at a cc, you can always say because you graduated and didn't want to spend a fortune on tuition for another semester/quarter.
