Any suggestions on the best way or best book to use to review O-Chem for the MCAT ?

Gold Standard MCAT (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/09...104-2708028-5767120?n=507846&s=books&v=glance) worked pretty well for me (Aug. '05 MCAT), but try to find it in a bookstore and leaf through it beforehand to make sure its a format you'd like. That was all that I bought for MCAT prep and it got me into the mid-30s 2-years post UG. I took a Kaplan course 3.5 years before that and didn't do as well! $60 sure beats $1200 for a class, too!

I'm not sure which prepbook companies put out review books just for one subject. But don't fret too much, the reason for the dearth of ochem review materials may be the fact that ochem is only 30 percent of the Biosci section-- it's just not worth stressing over. Whatever prepbook you have right now, the ochem that's covered in there should be plenty. As proof: I was a straight-C ochem student, but got a 12 on my biosci mcat.

Flashcards worked best for me.

But don't buy them, make them yourself. You end up remembering better when you write stuff down.

Cliff's notes. Secret MCAT Prep. They have everything broken down. I used them for Physics and Chemistry and did well on the MCAT.
