Any URMs get the weird Rush email today?

Let's not start the URM debate. I just want to get people's impression of the email if they received it.

I actually got a weird email from Rush about 1-2 mos. ago, and then I didn't get the recent random rush email that most folks got. I've pretty much given up on rush at this point...

I was hesitant to post it, because it sounded so blatantly "we're so happy you are a minority" that even I felt a little dirty after reading it. But, I still don't know what to make of it. I highlighted some sentences that give me hope. Then I think "I have been complete since October. there is no hope." Just when I thought I was out....

That's a good email! Sharon is a very nice woman (she spoke to us during the interview day). Anyway, those programs are more about making sure minorities feel comfortable and transition well, and recruiting of qualified URM applicants, NOT about giving special points or whatever.
