Anybody going to PCSOM

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Ive applied but they only told me yesterday that they received my secondary application. I sent it to them 3-4 weeks ago 😕 so my LORs are probably a good 2-3 weeks away from being "received"

I have also been accepted to PCSOM.

If I can get my house sold and get some funding, I'll be there.

When does everyone plan on moving? Do you have any information on housing or fin. aid?

You've got to be aggressive, apparently, in getting your housing and fin aid sorted out. Especially the housing. With the class growing to 75, there will be more competition for the same housing (although they are building new apartments and condos currently).

Call the fin aid office asap after Jan 1. Call the student services dept to find out if they ever got that web-site up for housing (was being developed by a 3rd year student, if memory serves).

Typically, you'll want to go to Pikevegas no later than May 1 to figure out housing. You'll want to make your applications for financial aid no later than March 1, if possible. This is all hearsay, of course...

YMMV

I have also be accepted to PCSOM  But, they only gave me til Jan. 1st for the deposit - less than a month from my interview date. On their website they say they will give 30 days for the deposit for students accepted on Dec. 15. While I was actually accepted on Dec. 9, shouldn't I still get 30 days to come up with that kind of money (especially during the holiday season when money is tight)?

Suzy Q:
You should be given 30 days. Call and talk to Steve Peyson, they are really understanding about matters there. That's actually the reason I decided to go there. If you tell them straight up then they should have no problem with it. If this doesn't work tell me and I know a few people from there, and I'll see what I can do.

It's a form letter. Call Jeanne Kreutzer and Mr. Payson. They'll give you some slack, especially if you offered to pay part of it on Jan 1 and the balance a few weeks later...

Congratulations!
