Anybody hear from Temple lately?

Temple was supposed to meet the 15th of this month. Did they? If they did am I just wasting my time waiting for an acceptance letter? I am leaning very heavily towards one school but want to know what all my options are. Any Temple news?

Yeah, I'm getting a little ticked that they haven't responded for so long. It's been 4 weeks for me since my interview.

I started to get worried that I somehow gave a bad impression during my interview/ visit, or that Temple is simply really, really, popular.

I would definately let Mark Lombard know of your concerns, of course he is probably swamped with emails/letters of that type. One of my friends got an email from him asking if she really thought Temple was for her - Mark thought it was and also said she was getting her acceptance letter later in the month (that was back in January though). Apparently those Temple acceptances are in high demand, but the email was also signed "Santa Lombard"....you gotta love that guy.

Temple has already started their waitlist. Two of my friends already got waitlisted. Mark said that if they had applied earlier they would have gotten in.

I talked to Terry Griffin yesterday, and she said that my application was still with the committee. She said that they had sent out some acceptances the other day, and that since mine was still with the admissions committee, it probably means I am being put on the waitlist.
Its all good, right?

Temple does have a high turn over rate, approx 10-15 people get off the waitlist each year.

I just called Terry up to find out my status.

She said that the admissions committee still has my application, that if i have not heard from them yet (either an acceptance or a rejection) that i will most likely be placed on the waiting list.

That list has not been compiled yet, meaning the first person hasnt been placed on it at this time. I think she said that would take a week or two, and people will be selected from the list based on their rank.

There are still some folks who are forfeiting their seats every day, so you *could* get an acceptance and skip the wait list altogether.

If you make the wait list, chances are pretty decent you will be accepted if you apply early enough the next year.

Its not good news, but it aint so bad.. right? 😕

The way the waitlist is set up and you are ranked is that they multiply your gpa with your DAT score (academic).
