Hey,

I was recently accepted to SGU - and I was wondering if anyone had chosen a different Carib school instead of SGU - if so, why?
Basically SGU is the only Carib school I've done any research on - because I heard it was considered the top school down there, but I'd like to hear what everyone has to say.

Does anyone know about their defferal process?

If you ok with their tuition go for it. It is very good school, and you will not have to wary about licensing in all US states.

Hey!

I looked at SGU, Ross and St. Luke's.
I actually am leaning towards St. Luke's due to the class size limitations (20-25) and the tuition.
SGU is well established as is Ross but I don't care for Ross's location and SGU is the most expensive and both are huge student wise (I am tired of lecture halls!!). I'm afraid if I choose those I will have a more difficult time getting rotations to a specific state.
According to Dr. Jordan who is in their US office they currently have only two students going up to the US for their clinicals this coming semester.
I have sent all three my application materials and I guess I will see how I feel at that time and also wait and see where my fiancee decides to go/is accepted.

If I was in your shoes I would choose SGU... UNLESS you are looking to do a residency in the Chicago area. Then I would choose Ross instead. Good luck!

just my 2 cents

i can;t help but wonder if some ppl on these forums actually work for AB, or at least leak out all of this to them.

Wonder? no wait! I know it for a fact!

Em, Irene? This is a Caribbean schools thread...and AB doesn't have a connection with any of the carib schools as far as I know of. And...as far as I know, AB's student communication is handled by like...2-3 people, and none of them post on these boards. I don't know if they know about this site and observe. I think all AB applicants on these boards need to calm down a little bit...depending on our experiences, we all have different views about them.
