Some people in my class go to bed at 9-10 and wake up at 4 to start studying.
Then they Finish studying by like 4 or 5, including going to the time wasting afternoon stuff my med school has us do, and then are completely free to hang out after that. they go to the beach, enjoy life, something more than i can say i do now lol.

Anyone do something similar or have comments?

That's what I do. Wouldn't change it either.

Depends on the day. I go to bed at 11pm to midnight, wake up at 6am, study/attend class/eat lunch and dinner and finish by 7 or 8 most days. This leaves 2 to 4 hours of time I can catch up with friends, watch a movie or go to the gym. This works well for me.

That's just the general schedule though, I have to adjust it depending on the block of classes that I'm in. Like neuro or anatomy I just studied all the time. Blood and lymph I had more time for me. So it all depends.

Since college I sleep during the afternoon if class isn't mandatory and stay up all night, had to change that for third year obviously

For me that was called Surgery rotation. After getting home I'd be braindead and asleep by 8pm. Waking up refreshed at 3am was a good time to start studying. You do what you have to.

In med school naps are my friend, and they should be yours too. Somedays I am just exhausted and need to nap for an hour to recharge. I don't have a sleep schedule anymore. I just sleep whenever I can.

Clearly you should be able to study while eating. Wasting 45 minutes of every day.

I've found that taking three 15 minute breaks every days helps break up the monotony and keep me on track.

Class isn't mandatory at my school (osteopathic) so I kind of do the opposite...

Wake up around 10: breakfast, news, relax
11-4: Listening to that day's lectures online
5-6 or so: relax
6:30 - 1 or 2am: study

you guys are studying way too much, in my pre-clinical years, I never went to class, woke up around noon everyday, studied anywhere from 2-4 hours a day, unless it was an exam week, then all bets were off. I stayed in good shape by spending quite a bit of time at the gym, this yielded a bottom half class rank but I was able to get a solid (~240+) score to land me an EM spot. you guys need to relax.
