Dude...I know your anxious but posting on a anonymous board isn't going to help all that much. You probably won't see a lot of waitlist movement until the middle of may. Thats when there will be a LOT of movement around. It the nature of the beast.

Yeah, I got in there after interviewing in late January. TO be honest, the school itself seemed great, but I cannot handle Florida. First of all the humidity is unbearable, but more importantly the people were a really big turn off for me. I am from Chicago, and I love the midwest.....people are helpful here. Down, there, not only did I feel as though I was in a different country but I also felt like the people were not very helpful........my two cents....god luck though.....like I said the school really seemed top notch!

Funny, I kinda thought the opposite. Especially when I was appoached by the multiple people in chicago begging me for money. I think the mother holding the baby asking for change (with a sign) for food was a low point...especially when she cussed at people when they walked by.

I think in all everywhere has their high and low points. Here in the south you can find really really friendly people...go a town over and you get the whole city boy/girl in hazzard county type of response. "You ain't from around here are ya?" After living across the country and even more so after traveling across it for medical school interviews, I think that most places and people are cool. It just depends on where ya go.

As for the humidity, I hear ya. I actually love it. I hate the snow but I know many people that hate the heat and love the cold. Its different strokes for different folks. 🙂

I cancelled my interview and withdrew. It had more to do with location and, yes, the mandatory attendance.

Good luck though. If that is the school for you and you matriculate, you will be happy!

I'll probably know more about my status by this weekend.
