I spent a semester in college living in London, and while there I was able to easily travel over to France. I really loved France, it was such a breath of fresh air after seeing overcast days and rain all the time in London.
I spoke French pretty well at the time, and I found Paris so upbeat and fun! Contrary to popular belief, the French were not cold people at all, I found that at times when you know French and speak it to them, they will answer you back in English. And as long as you are not obnoxious they are friendly and will help you find your way around. I thought the food was so delicious and the bread and croissants are everything they say and more!
I didn't care for English cooking, found it a little bland and somewhat icky, I hope I don't offend anyone, I have a more of a Mediterrean palate, so pickled eggs just doesn't do it for me. But I digress....go everywhere in France you can and just enjoy-I'm so jealous, I would go back there in a heartbeat!
